Hi, I'm Carter. I like plucking strings and watching screens. That means I like music and movies. I might have had skin cancer once; they aren't really sure. I like stars and ships and quiet things...and dancing. I picked up the guitar about 4 years ago in an attempt to find myself. I try to make songs that are somewhere between happiness and sadness, songs that ask questions and embrace the exaggerations of memories. I guess it's just my way of trying to relate to my surroundings. I often write about nature because I feel like its inherent beauty is one of life's most rewarding mysteries. Why is everyone excited when a summer thundercloud rolls in? How can we begin to describe the scent of fallen leaves? Though my songs are surely flawed in many ways, my fascination with life calls me to stumble along, to create, to question.
